I began my medical journey in 2007 and have worked in a variety of disciplines and specialty units. Most recently, I have focused on Women’s Healthcare, including the newborn nursery, postpartum, and labor & delivery unit. It was during this time that I quickly discovered my true passion for newborn care and educating parents.

My passion for the pediatric population grew further during my FNP clinical rotations, where I found my calling. However, my pursuit of finding an alternative approach intensified when my youngest child, Niklas, was hospitalized in 2015. He had become unresponsive, lethargic, and had a temperature of 105.5. As a mother and nurse, I felt utterly helpless.

Niklas was subsequently loaded with more medications and discharged home. The real challenge began after his release, with continued rounds of antibiotics and steroids to treat reoccurring pneumonia, bronchitis, croup, and a variety of other illnesses. Despite discussing several treatment plans with doctors, I couldn’t shake the feeling that there had to be a better way, a solution beyond just masking his symptoms.

Throughout my nursing career, I often found myself questioning conventional treatments and seeking alternative approaches to curing these “Dis-eases”. In 2017, my husband and I began searching for providers who could understand and accurately diagnose Niklas's condition, rather than simply continuing to mask his symptoms. Sadly, we found that such places were limited.

This became a turning point in my life, both personally and professionally. I envisioned a practice where patients felt cared for, listened to, and guided on the right path. At Sheri Lundblad, FNP Family Medical Practice, we embrace a holistic approach, incorporating functional medicine alongside Western medical practices. For me, this isn't just a career path; it's a way of life. I truly practice what I preach.
